Karleigh Rae

Written into this world in November of 1990 as Arika Lynn, I started writing at a young age. "God Bless America" was my first reconized piece published in September of 2003 in a local newspaper as the winning piece in a youth contest in honor of the September 11 attack. My next few pieces were part of the Poetry.com books, and I was published again in 2004 in a Young Writers of America book highlighting teens and their talents. Throughout my writing years my Pen names changed, mostly to fit the changes in my writing. I began as Arika, then Jemina, then as Jaidyn Nichole Allen, then Jenna Rae Marchand, and now you can call me Karleigh Rae Marchand or Kari! This title is something more perminate now that I've grown up.

I have written award-winning stories, poems, articles, essays, speeches and business plans. I like to share my opinion and put my emotions down on paper. I love complex thoughts and metaphoric work. Although some of my work is pretty blunt.

Nothing in my life has messured up to the way I feel about my work, I am not proud of much I've done in my life. But I am proud of the work that you read, I hope one day to get somewhere with it.
